I’ve been cooking a lot lately. Like, a lot a lot. In fact, my birthday presents to myself were a new pots and pans set and an immersion blender. (Next up: a cast-iron dutch oven and a new knife set!) And while there are a few cookbooks I would like to own - say, RR’s Big Orange Book (shuddup) or PW Cooks - I get most of my recipes online. Here are some recent out-of-the-parkers:
Homemade Bolognese Sauce (served with garlic bread, salad with lemon/dijon dressing, and noddles tossed with butter and oregano)
Ribollita (spicy bean and tomato soup, served with mezgaldi)
Carnitas (served with corn tortillas, pico de gallo, and spicy rice…this was actually a fail in my book but the bf loved it - just make sure you get the right cut of pork, which I did not)
Caldo Gallego (spicy potato, sausage, and spinach soup…I’m sensing a trend here)
BBQ Meatloafballs (served with garlicky mashed potatoes and spicy corn)
So next time you’re having a potluck, invite me! Just don’t expect anything low-carb.
