- Cashier: [after asking for my ID] Oh, you have a birthday coming up!
- Me: I do.
- Cashier: Anything fun planned?
- Me: A party, for sure.
- Cashier: [looks at the half-dozen bottles in front of him]
- Me: These aren't for it.
