Children, weddings, home ownership, steady employment…it’s weird to think any of these things might happen to me since the “hows” and the “whens” are too foggy (and terrifying) to consider. Trust me, I’m not in any rush, I’m just finally reaching the point where close friends, not just creepsters from middle school who found me on Facebook, are beginning to get engaged and most of the time I’m like “…Really?” Of course I’m happy for them and wish them the best (and can’t wait for the open bar) but I’m also like, “We’re the same age, how can you consider this a viable option?” Maybe it’s because I live in NYC and will most likely have a roommate until I’m 35, or maybe I can do the traditional fallback and blame ol’ Mom and Dad.
